Unauthorized Use of ACTS International
Name and/or E-mail Addresses

ACTS International unfortunately has been the target of several attacks by unscrupulous persons fraudulently representing themselves as ACTS International or as a representative of ACTS International, or sending spam (including pornographic spam) making it appear that it came from an @actsweb.org e-mail address.

Millions of fraudulent e-mails are deployed daily. They claim to come from a wide variety of sources, and some (every now and then) claim to be from ACTS International or representing ACTS International. Fraudulent e-mail messages, often referred to as "phishing" or "spoofing," are becoming increasingly common. These types of e-mails use other people's or organization's e-mail address to mislead the source of the message. Some use corporate logos, colors and legal disclaimers to make it appear as though they are real. Some are sent in an attempt to trick people into sending money and providing personal information such as usernames, passwords and/or credit card details, and for the purpose of committing theft, identity theft and/or other crimes—or just to destroy the ministry of legitimate organizations such as ACTS International.

Recognizing Phishing Scam E-mails. If you ever get an email supposedly coming from an @actsweb.org address that is in any way contrary to the Christian and gospel message that ACTS International publishes, please delete it immediately as some of these fraudulent e-mails may contain a virus.

Note however, if you are a subscriber to either Daily, Weekend or Prayer Encounter, you may receive an EZMLM warning bounced message which is noting that the Encounter message sent has had a difficult time reaching your email address. This can happen if there is an overload of e-mails reaching your server at the same time.

Note too, that ACTS International will never send an e-mail asking for any personal and/or financial information such as passwords, your Social Security number, bank account number, or other identification. Credit card information is only required when YOU either order a book or tape from our store at: http://actscom.com/store or send a donation at: https://actscom.com and or the store. These will always be initiated by you. This information is highly encrypted and will never be shared with any other person, business or organization.

If you have any questions or concerns about services provided by ACTS International, please contact us at www.actsweb.org/nz/contact.php.
