About People Power for Jesus

we can accomplish great feats for God.”

As already noted, people power is without question one of the most powerful means to prosper any cause—for good or evil. As Richard Halverson pointed out "People Power" is a mighty force.

People have the power to prosper—or close down—any operation! For example, pornography prevails because enough people want it, buy it, watch it, listen to it, and read it. It is extremely profitable because countless people prosper it! People power has also prospered politics, ideas, industries, and numerous causes. When many people promote any idea for long enough, it has a way of being accepted by the masses.

It was people power that prospered the gospel in the first century following Jesus Christ's first coming to earth. The last thing Jesus did before returning to Heaven after his death, burial and resurrection was to commission his small band of disciples and followers saying, "You are to go into all the world and preach [communicate] the good news to everyone, everywhere" (Mark 16:15, TLB). This they did. And this was what prospered the gospel and brought about the birth of the Church of Jesus Christ.

With all that is happening in today's world it appears more than ever that the stage is being set for the soon return or the second coming of Jesus Christ which will be the beginning of the end of this world as we now know it.

In fact, according to Jesus, "This gospel of the kingdom will be preached [proclaimed] in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come" (Matthew 24:14, NIV).

Never before has this been as possible as it is right now. With today's technology and the various means of electronic communication—including the use of computers, the Internet, e-mail, text messaging and the like—the gospel message is speeding around the world. This couldn't even have happened ten to fifteen years ago.

I personally believe that God has given to today's Christians the greatest means of travel, the greatest resources, and the greatest means of communication ever primarily to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth in preparation for Christ's return.

Without doubt the greatest way to reach all the world with the gospel is via people power—people power for Jesus. It is a fact that:

we can accomplish great feats for God.”

When God's people catch the vision, People Power (with God's blessing) has the power to work miracles for reaching multiplied millions of people around the world with the saving gospel message of Jesus Christ. The fact is that God's people have the power to prosper the reaching of people worldwide with the gospel.

This is why we believe God has led us to commence a people power for Jesus group and (hopefully, in time a movement) no matter how small we are to begin. Remember, it was only a handful of Jesus' early disciples and followers who prospered the gospel in the first century. People power can again greatly prosper the spreading of the gospel in this century—perhaps the last century prior to the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to take all his people to be with him forever in Heaven.

Jesus commissioned every Christian to "go into all the world and preach [communicate] the gospel to everyone, everywhere." Never before has this been as possible as it is today.
