document.writeln("between us or our herdsmen. After all, we are close relatives! The whole");
document.writeln("countryside is open to you. Take your choice of any section of the land you");
document.writeln("want, and we will separate. If you want the land to the left, then I will take");
document.writeln("the land on the right. If you prefer the land on the right, then I will go to the");
document.writeln("left.\'€�<sup>1</sup><o:p></o:p></span></p>");

document.writeln("&quot;Arial&quot;,sans-serif\">Abraham (Abram) and Lot had been living together for some");
document.writeln("time, however, their possessions had exceeded the space available. This caused");
document.writeln("some quarreling between their herdsmen, and Abraham realized that the only way");
document.writeln("to avoid further conflict was to go separate ways. Abraham loved Lot and gave");
document.writeln("him the opportunity to choose his land first. Abraham was not concerned, but");
document.writeln("trusted that God was his provider, and he humbly accepted the land that was");
document.writeln("left. However, Lot made his decision based on what he saw\'€¦ the grass may have");
document.writeln("looked greener near Sodom, but Lot was wrong. Unfortunately, this decision");
document.writeln("ended up causing Lot much grief, including being taken captive when Sodom was");
document.writeln("attacked. Even then, Abraham went with his men to rescue his nephew Lot. The");
document.writeln("sacrifices that Abraham made for Lot\'€™s wellbeing were a true example of");
document.writeln("humility, love, and teaches us how relationships are more important than");
document.writeln("arguing over material possessions or desires. <o:p></o:p></span></p>");
document.writeln("<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;line-height:107%;font-family:");
document.writeln("&quot;Arial&quot;,sans-serif\">Imagine if Abraham would have joined in the conflict with his");
document.writeln("herdsmen against Lot. Things could have escalated and totally ruined the");
document.writeln("relationship between these two men. However, Abraham trusted God in all things");
document.writeln("and sought to have peace in the middle of a tense situation. <o:p></o:p></span></p>");
document.writeln("<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;line-height:107%;font-family:");
document.writeln("&quot;Arial&quot;,sans-serif\">How do we handle conflict in our relationships? Are we quick");
document.writeln("to engage in arguments or do we seek to pacify the tension? Whether it be with");
document.writeln("family or friends, do we seek our own wellbeing above all else? Romans 12:18");
document.writeln("reminds us to \'€œDo all that you can to live in peace with everyone.\'€� How we");
document.writeln("respond in difficult situations can be one of the greatest testimonies of faith");
document.writeln("to those around us. Let us do all that is in our hands to honor God in all");
document.writeln("circumstances and trust that he will handle the rest. <o:p></o:p></span></p>");
