Instructions to help ensure that you receive
every issue of your Daily Encounter

Unfortunately, some email providers/servers are treating Daily Encounter as spam—just because it is bulk e-mail—and are blocking it (and we never spam anyone). If your e-mail address is blocked for too many days, our server "thinks" the e-mail address is no longer valid, and automatically unsubscribes it.

Please keep in mind that the ACTS server/provider only has control of the sending. The receiving is controlled by your e-mail provider/server, or on how your e-mail is set up. So please be sure to follow the instructions below to help ensure that you receive every issue of your Daily Encounter and so it won't get blocked, and so you won't get automatically taken off the list.

By way of interest, you can see today's and all past Daily
Encounters
online at: http://www.actsweb.org/archives.php.

If none of the following suggestions work for you your e-mail, please contact your e-mail provider/server to inquire how to make sure your Daily Encounter doesn't get blocked.

Suggestions:

  1. Add acts@actsweb.org to your e-Mail address book.

  2. AOL subscribers: In the event you use a bulk email blocking
product, please add acts@actsweb.org to your "Buddy" list
or make sure you allow email from this address.

  3. Hotmail users, please select "Options", then under
"Mail Handling" click "Safe List" and type in
    "acts@actsweb.org" — then click "OK."

  4. If you use Yahoo and find your Encounter e-Mail in the
"bulk" folder, please open the message and click the
    "Not Spam" button.

  5. Commercial Spam Filtering Programs typically allow domains
to be added to the filter's "white list" — follow your
    program's instructions for adding "acts@actsweb.org."

  6. Does your Internet Service Provider (ISP) have a favored
mailer or "White list"? If so, please follow their procedures
to make sure that "acts@actsweb.org" is added to it.

  7. Has your ISP designated our mail to be sent to a "junk mail"
or "bulk mail" folder, or simply blocked us altogether? Again,
please contact your ISP and let them know the mail from
acts@actsweb.org is content you have requested.
I trust this will help ensure that you receive each issue of your Daily Encounter e-mail inspiration.

Sincerely,

Richard
