150,000 People Will Die Today!
Dear ACTS Prayer Partner,
First: Thank you again for your prayer support for Joy in that she has fully recovered from her cancer surgery. Her doctors have recently confirmed that she is cancer free. She has to be on anti-cancer meds for five years which are having some uncomfortable side-effects but nothing serious.
Second—Radiation Leak: We live in a direct line to the San Onofre nuclear plant here in Southern California. We can see it from our back porch—only a mile or so away as the crow flies. It was announced on the news (Feb. 1) that there was a radiation leakage at the plant today, and that the plant has been closed down.
We are told that there is nothing to worry about, but we would appreciate your prayers for our safety and well-being. One can't always trust what the spokespeople tell us.
Third: We also want to especially thank you for your prayer support for ACTS ministries which is vital for God's blessing on the gospel outreach ministry of ACTS International.
Fourth: We are happy to report that with year end donations—some of which ran over into January—all of ACTS bills and debts for last year were paid in full. We truly praise God for his provision through his people.
Fifth: We want to share with you the tremendous need to reach as many people as humanly possibly with the saving gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ—the only hope of our sin-sick world.

This is the way that Jesus always ministered to his hearers ... he always met each individual at his or her point of felt need.
Furthermore, ACTS Daily Encounter and web articles are messages where the gospel is clearly presented and where spiritual growth materials are provided—all without charge.
Thus, we have provided the ministry articles whereby a person can become a Christian and grow in his/her faith through Daily Encounter; an effective follow-up website—Living, Loving and Learning; and many Internet articles that apply the gospel and Christian message to the everyday issues of life and the needs people feel. Our goal is to help people not only find Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, but also to help people grow in every area of life: emotionally, relationally, as well as spiritually so that they become whole ... for only to the degree that people become whole will their lifestyle, their actions, their attitudes, and their relationships (with God and people) become wholesome. As Jesus said to people, "Do you want to be made whole?"
With Daily Encounter, our major outreach ministry, we are currently sending over two million copies to our 400,000+ worldwide subscribers every week. And each month 40,000+ more folk are visiting the ACTS web pages from 194 countries and territories.
As Joy, my wife, and myself are our only staff here in our U.S. office, it is quite a challenge keeping up with all the work. We are certainly not complaining as we consider it an incredible God-given opportunity to be able to reach so many people worldwide every day with the saving gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Because the need is great, we covet your continued earnest prayer support for God's provision and His blessing so that thousands more will accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
